B. Documents Regarding Financial Sponsor

1. Financial Support Statement Specified by the school. In principle, created and printed by computer, etc.
2. Certificate of Deposit Balance Approximately 3 million Japanese yen. Issued by a bank or similar financial institution.
3. Bank Transaction Statement For the past 3 years. Issued by a bank or similar financial institution.
4. Certificate of Income For the past 3 years. Issued by the government or municipal authorities.
For applicants residing in Japan, it is the “Income and Tax Certificate.”
5. Certificate of Tax Payment For the past 3 years. Issued by the government or municipal authorities.
6. Documents to prove the relationship between the applicant and the financial sponsor. Such as “Certificate of Family Relationship” issued by the government or municipal authorities.
7. Copy of Official Identification Document Having a photograph with a valid expiration date. If information is printed on both sides, copies of both sides.
8. Documents related to family register For all family members. Issued by the government or municipal authorities.
For applicants residing in Japan, it is the “Certificate of Family Register” and “Resident Certificate.”
9. Documents related to occupation/profession Such as “Certificate of Employment”, “Certificate of Registration”,
“Business License”, “Occupational Certificate”, etc. Issued by the employer or public agencies.

 

*All documents must be filled out in Japanese except for the signature section.
*Even if documents are created by computer, the applicant must sign them personally.
*If documents are in a language other than Japanese, a Japanese translation is required.
*If any required documents cannot be provided for some reason, a written explanation must be submitted.
*Applicants who previously applied for a Certificate of Eligibility at the Immigration Bureau and were denied must declare it in advance.
*If any falsification or irregularities are found in the submitted documents or if it is discovered that the applicant does not meet the eligibility criteria, the examination will not be permitted. Additionally, if such discoveries are made after the acceptance decision, the acceptance will be revoked.
*Certificates equivalent to “Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5” include “Japanese NAT-TEST Level 5”, “J.TEST Practical Japanese Proficiency Test F Level (250 points or above)”, “TOPJ Practical Japanese Skill Test Elementary A”, “Standard Business Japanese Test (STBJ) BJ4 Level (350 points or above)”, “J-Cert Life and Work Japanese Proficiency Test B Course Elementary Level”, “BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test J4 (300 points or above)”, etc. If multiple certificates apply, all must be submitted.
